Bib Running Martingale Attachment - Full
The action of the bib martingale mimics the running martingale when the horse raises its head above the desired point; the martingale adds leverage through the reins to the bit on the bars of the horse's mouth. The leverage created by this pressure encourages the horse to lower its head.
Whilst the bib section that holds the forks of the running martingale together acts as an Irish martingale to prevent the reins coming over the head should the rider fall.
